Day 4 has started out with a timed lab for 12:30 this afternoon being drawn at 6:30 this morning. The day nurse has reordered it and it was only a 2 cc blood draw so no problem. They are drawing all of her labs with her IV since no fluids are attached. So far it is still holding.
Rounds were this morning and Dr. Yao said that the schedule was going well. Still waiting on many labs outstanding and more labs and tests to do in the next couple of days. Dr. Yao, Dr. Fuss, Tyra, Karen and the Fellow all sang Happy Birthday to Macey.
A balloon bouquet came that had a golden retriever stuff animal attached. It was from Meem (aka Elizabeth) and Pa (aka Reggie).
Later in the day Patti, Macey's nurse came in with a cake and present (a NIH t-shirt). Several of the 1NW staff came to the door to sing.
The A1A test is over and Macey has been given the 400 mg of Carmine Red. Also they're working on a fat test for malabsorption. That will last until Saturday morning.
The rest of the night was low key and uneventful.
