Macey's nasal culture that we repeated earlier in the week was positive. We had hoped that taking the Zyvox for the toe infection might have rid her whole system of the MRSA and she would no longer be colonized. No such luck. She will be under contact isolation while at NIH and I believe unable to leave her room during the week. But I am going to check on that. Hopefully soon we can find a treatment protocol that will decolonize her.
